Dr. Amy O’Neill, LPC, is a distinguished clinician, consultant, trainer, and educator with over 30 years of leadership in the mental health field. As co-founder of Aftermath Solutions (After+), Amy leverages her deep expertise in disaster behavioral health and a survivor-centered philosophy to guide communities through the immediate aftermath and long-term recovery from tragedy.

As both a seasoned practitioner and a survivor of the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing, Amy offers a unique blend of lived experience and clinical expertise, enriching her support for victims, survivors, families, and communities. Driven by a steadfast mission, she ensures that those affected by mass violence and disaster have access to critical resources, compassionate understanding, and comprehensive support to heal and rebuild.

Amy has consulted and delivered psychoeducation to organizations and communities impacted by mass violence and terror attacks across the United States and internationally. She provides subject matter expertise, strategic guidance, and advanced training to service providers, leaders, and stakeholders—empowering them to implement trauma-informed practices, enhance survivor engagement, and build resilient communities.

Amy’s leadership and advisory roles span national and international arenas. She serves as a consultant with the U.S. Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center (OVC TTAC), is a member of the European Union Center for Victims of Terrorism Hub of Experts, and provides expert consultation to the United Nations Office of Counterterrorism. Amy also serves on the Steering Committee of the Disaster Distress Helpline and is a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Team, where she champions effective, compassionate, and survivor-informed response systems.
